These first few photos are taken at the Chorlton Water Park and along the Mersey River. These resources are managed by the Mersey Valley Countryside Warden Service. The Chorlton Ees are a fantastic place to walk and be near nature. Hard to believe it is only few miles from the centre of Manchester! If you go to the web page you can find out all about the Chorlton Eees, Chorlton Water Park and if you follow the Sale Water Park link you can find out all about Jacksons Boat Inn which has links to the Jacobite uprisings in the eighteenth century.

The following photos are from Scotland where we stayed with friends in Edinburgh, James and Gilly, Mathew and Frazer. Whilst we were there James drove us to Milnathort, Kinrossshire where my Scotish ancestors originate. My cousin Peter, had told me about an old ruined church and graveyard on the edge of Loch Levin where there were a number of 'Young' graves, which he had not found. So we set out to find this site. With the generous help of locals we found the site which is quite close to the prehistoric Orwell Standing Stones.
