Class Timetable

All classes run for 1 day, between 10am and 3.30pm at our computer training lab in Richmond.

Courses

Net New & Viet New (same as Net New but delivered in Vietnamese)

Ideal for people with no previous Internet experience and who may not have used computers before.

Learn How to:

  • Use the Mouse and Keyboard
  • Understand the Internet
  • Find your way around the World Wide Web
  • Find information on the Web
  • Use web based email

Net Savvy & Viet Savvy (same as Net Savvy but delivered in Vietnamese)

A course for people who have some previous experience using the Internet and would like to know how to use it more effectively.

Learn How to:

  • Manage Bookmarks/Favourites
  • Use Search Tools
  • Copy/Paste and save web information
  • Send attachments and manage address books in email (Pre-requisite is a Yahoo email address)

MC2 Groups & Webpage

My Connected Community ( mc2 ) is a virtual meeting place where communities interact online. mc2 is a state government initiative to encourage online communities. You can use mc2 to keep your existing group together online.

In this class we will show you how to:

  • Create your own online community (You could keep in contact with your family, share your community groups documents and information online, exchange ideas with members of your hobby group, etc)
  • interact with others of similar interests
  • have your say in a live chat room
  • participate in forum discussion with other members
  • create your own homepage
  • visit recommended sites on your favourite topic and MORE!!

My Connected Community (mc˛) is a safe and secure online community.
