Starting off learning Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

I have been waiting for ages to have the excuse to learn how to use and configure Casading Style Sheets and I am using this as a chance to learn about thenm in some detail. I am a bit of a 'hardcore' html editor in that I like to use Notepad to do my HTML coding. So I have done this work on a trusty old text editor. I hope to get the look and feel from the Style Sheet that accomapnies this page. Do you want to find out more about Style Sheets?

The W3C (http://www.w3.org/) or the World Wide Web Consortium has a lot of information about Cascading Style Sheets.  as well as links to excellent tutorials about how to implement Style Sheets into a website in fact I used one of the links to an excellent tutorial "Adding a touch of style" written by Dave Raggett to get the know how to build this page.  Do you want to see what style pages can do?  Well make sure that you have a browser that can render style pages ( Click here to check ) and make sure that you have your browser configured to view Style pages or else nothing dramatic will happen.  In Netscape go to  EDIT | PREFERENCES | ADVANCED and make sure that the box marked "Enable Style Sheets" is ticked.  Then go to W3C Core Style Sampler it will give you the option to look at the same document in 8 different predefined styles this is the best demonstration of what style sheets can do.

Were to from here?

I hope that in the next 6 months I will learn enough through the NOPD course to be able to plan and develop a real online learning experience for myself and others.
