My Involvement

Since then NETCo-op has continued to develop a sophisticated range of online services and support as well as providing the "membership" option for people to actively participate and share in the ownership and control of the development of online services in the region. As a community owned Co-operative, NETCo-op is managed by a Board of Directors and Executive Officer in a similar way to corporate structures.

I have an ongoing responsiblity for several key aspects of the development of NETCo-op.

• I have a role in the research, development and delivery of telecommunications services in the region. I have redeveloped NETCo-op's Policy and Procedures in regards to Privacy requirements, Terms of Service and Acceptable Useage Policy. Redeveloped and costed new consumer plans for internet access that provide real competition for regional users and challenge the main incumbant Telcos.
• Provide timely advice and critical briefing and planning documents for the Executive Officer Mr. Peter Jamieson and the Board of NETCo-op.
• Research and write tenders and investigate new business opportunities for NETCo-op. As well as building and maintaining close relationships with key Federal and State Government agencies that impact on the activities of NETCo-op.
• Providing ongoing consultancy and development advice and planning for NETCo-op as required.
