On This Day November 24th
Excerpt taken from The Richmond Guardian, 1894
The young ladies attending St. Stephen's Ladies' School have for some time been making preparations for holding a bazaar in aid of the Richmond and East Melbourne Benevolent Society. By their own industry and the assistance of their friends they have provided a number of articles, which it is hoped will meet with a ready sale. The bazaar will take place at St. Stephen's Schoolroom on Friday, 30th November, commencing at 3 o'clock. Mrs. Henty-Wilson will open the proceedings. There will be music at intervals, including banjo-playing by some members of the Banjo Club. Friends in sympathy to the object are invited to attend. Admission sixpence.
