Excerpt taken from The Richmond Guardian, 1898

Messrs. Coffey Brothers' exhibits at the Royal Agricultural Society's Show received highest praise on all sides. For a beautiful pony phaeton they received first prize, which they well deserved, for it is a credit to our city. Their latest design - "Newhaven" Road Carts, also received favorable comment from judges, the simplicity of their slide balance weight being much admired. Those who have not already seen the above should visit their showroom during the coming week.
