The North East Neighbourhood House Network membership is comprised of Department of Human Services - Neighbourhood House Coordination Program (NHCP) funded Houses and Centres. It services an area that extends from Richmond in the South to Whittlesea in the North. It covers the local government areas of Yarra, Darebin, Banyule, Nillumbik and Whittlesea.

It is a community managed organisation, the Committee of Management is drawn from the Network membership and directs the activities of the Network.

The Network facilitates coordination and linkages within the network membership and the wider community service system, provide support and resourcing to member houses, and advocates on behalf of the membership at a community, Local and State Government level.

The Network is based on the same community development framework that informs the Neighbourhood House and Learning Centres operations.
