Dale Pobega currently teaches ESL and Computing at Duke Street Community House and runs his own online training and educational consultancy "Daws and Pobega E-Literacy Solutions". Dale has spent many years working in the ACE field as a teacher, trainer and ardent promoter of flexible delivery. He has co managed the ACENET Flexible Learning Network for the last five years and established the 'Online.Ace Teaching Program', in 1999, an online course which he continues to deliver and develop in conjunction with his colleague, Michael Gwyther.

Michael Gwyther currently joint manages private RTO Yum Productions Pty Ltd with Erin McCuskey. YUM are currently working in flexible teaching and learning strategies with trainers, course development, multimedia resources for industry and literacy students, WELL projects and a variety of video training & production. He is also the part time manager of community based ISP YarraNet and has worked in ACE, particularly neighbourhood houses for over 15 years. He has managed the E Learning Communities Flexible Learning Network and has worked closely with Dale Pobega for the past 4 years on a variety of flexible learning projects.

Conference Session Hosts 2003

Jan Hatton is the Coordinator of ACE Walcha Community College , a small rural RTO based at Walcha in the New England Region of NSW. In 2001 she was a participant in Online ACE, in 2002 an Online ACE Champion mentor. She has contributed an examplar to the Blended Learning case study by Laurie Fields, represented the ACE sector on the NSW Learnscope selection panel in 2003 and facilitated a Learnscope project this year. Jan remains committed to exploring methods for rural providers to uptake flexible learning opportunities.


Erin McCuskey has worked as a trainer in industry and adult education for many years and now runs her own company Yum Productions Pty Ltd with Michael Gwyther, after a long stint as a bar attendant! She is also a community filmmaker working on community development with varied groups. Erin has developed and run online training in Workplace Training and Assessment; developed Interactive CD-ROMs for industry for learners new to computers but not new to the workplace. These workers demand interesting, credible workplace interfaces, Erin adds her own twist.

Debby Priest is the Accredited Course Coordinator for Riverina Community College LTD Wagga Wagga NSW. Debby has spent the past two years searching and testing Online training providers so as to establish an Online Training Centre for the college, that included all necessary tools for successful learning finally deciding to run with Webtrain Learning Management System.
