| This session will look at the options
available to Small Providers who wish to use preexisting material from the
TAFE Virtual Campus Course Catalouge available for free use by all in the
Victorian Training System. We'll explore 3 possible course delivery possibilities
using-as examples-courses taken from the Catalouge:
The TAFE VC Starter Kit, Train Small Groups and Heritage Tourism
The issues we'll be talking about include:Technology and Tools to use
in your delivery, Practical use of the courses in the catalouge, Using
your own assessment tasks , Adaptation/Augmenting Course Content, Using
the Discussion Board, the Web and Chat. Michael Gwyther currently joint manages private RTO Yum Productions Pty LTD with Erin McCuskey. YUM are currently working in flexible teaching and learning strategies with trainers, course development, multimedia resources for industry and literacy students, WELL projects and a variety of video training & production. He is also the part time manager of community based ISP YarraNet and has worked in ACE, particularly neighbourhood houses for over 15 years where he designed a variety of courseware for the TAFE VC catalouge. He has managed the E Learning Communities Flexible Learning Network and has worked closely with Dale Pobega for the past 4 years on a variety of flexible learning projects. |
